It seems that spinning is still winning in Singapore with the range of spin studios open across the city. Cycling on a spin bike can burn 350 to 600 calories during a 45-minute session, making spinning classes one of the best low impact calorie-blasting exercises around. Not only does a session tone your legs, firm your butt and challenge your abs, but it builds lower body strength and improves cardiovascular endurance. Add spinning to high-octane tunes to get you through a gruelling class.

However, spinning is not as simple as waltzing into the first studio that comes up on your Google search. Finding the right spin class for you is as delicate a task as finding a soulmate — it won’t work if you don’t feel comfortable, things go too fast or you feel depleted afterwards. Some like their spin with a sprinkle of spirituality; others with a dash of competition. Whatever you’re leaning towards, here is our low-down on Singapore’s top spin studios.
