It’s been a tough 18 months, living with the pandemic and with travel extremely tough and quarantine still in place for 99% of countries, most of us aren’t taking proper breaks and holidays. Re:Qi Retreat by CulturedGen is a series of thoughtfully-curated retreat experiences that aim to help you reconnect with your self and guide you through a journey of mindful, conscious living.

Following the two successful runs of Nature Getaway Retreat, Re:Qi Retreat is launching a brand new urban concept - Urban Revival Retreat. This time, the theme will be self-discovery, which is believed to be an essential step towards well-being.

The Urban Revival Retreat will take place over 2 days between 4th -5th November at The Clan Hotel, where participants will reside in the Grand Premier rooms where guests can enjoy elevated views of the business district as well as special privileges such as the turndown service, which comes with a calming brew and goodnight essential oil to help you unwind for the day.

The itinerary for this Urban Revival Retreat is partially inspired by the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles of the body constitution, which is reflected in the meals provided during the retreat. According to TCM, food is medicine, and the best way to eat is in accordance with your natural environment and individual body constitution. All meals and drinks are co-created by the TCM physician and fine dining chef at the retreat and will be guided by the results from your pre-retreat TCM body constitution assessment.

Other TCM-inspired elements in the retreat include gua sha massage, which activates your inner self-healing mechanism, and Chinese martial art, which connects your mind, body and qi.

Besides these Asian healing traditions, the Urban Revival Retreat also took reference from modern wellness techniques. On the last day, Amanda Ling, local sound healer, and Elika Tasker, certified health coach, will guide you through ways to expand your inner awareness and find your own path towards holistic well-being. By the end of the retreat, the retreat promises you’ll feel recharged, refreshed and well-equipped with knowledge and skills that you can implement in your daily routine.
