Zen in your hood: Yoga Movement launches Pod concept
The spanking new Pod Concept is cosier than their regular studios, but expect no less than the usual YM experience

Gyms and yoga studios in Singapore are fully opened once again, and we couldn’t be more than glad to head back for a sweat session after being cooped up for the most part in the past few months. It only gets better, with a brand new studio in the bustling Novena enclave.
Homegrown heroes Yoga Movement (YM) welcomes their new Novena Pod Concept, which features a spacious practice room, 2 dedicated changing room stalls, and a full-service Front Desk, this compact property offers over 50 classes a week to the neighbourhood’s residential and working community. Recognizing the huge shift in the way we live in the past 18 months, YM seeks to ride ongoing trend of work-from-home by bringing YM to the community and reaching a previously untapped audience.

Expect no less than the familiar, exclusive YM flavour in this space efficient Pod Concept. Originally meant to be a no-frills pop-up studio, the folks behind YM’s collection of stunning studio fit outs couldn’t resist making this Pod Concept as polished and thoughtfully designed as its sprawling CBD counterparts. The only difference would be the absence of shower facilities or heating panels for hot classes, but the YM is looking to convert the space into a full-fledged signature fit out in the future.
The studio will offer all seven signature YM class types as well as Pop Up classes, YM’s version of themed classes. All of these classes are multi-levelled, catering to Newbies and seasoned practitioners alike.
Those just starting out can join Basics to get acquainted with foundational yoga postures, while those wanting to work up a sweat can opt for the more dynamic Core or Power Flow. With an exceptionally convenient schedule offering classes throughout the day, the Novena location expects to see nearly 1,000 people flowing in their practice rooms week in, week out. At this prized location, YM humbly rubs shoulders with some of the best lifestyle and F&B locales in the biz, with Real Food, Slow Bakes, Marmalade Pantry, Two Men Bagel House, La Ristretto’s and much more within a short stroll.
