Going by the burgeoning numbers of gyms and new gym openings across our island, it would be safe to say that Singapore inhabitants are a health, fitness and body-aware lot. F45 gyms are nestled in almost every neighbourhood, CrossFit studios are many, and the pandemic has got us exercising at home and opting for outdoor workouts and outdoor exercises more than ever before.

As Singapore moves into phase three for 2021, we predict that people will be keen to continue with outdoor exercise in the fresh air and where outdoor fitness equipment, space and restrictions allow. Indeed, exercising outdoors has been found to induce elevated physical wellbeing of revitalisation, decreased anger and increased energy. Additional studies by researchers reveal that getting active outside creates an overall positive effect on vitality and your sense of enthusiasm and energy as well as decreasing your levels of cortisol, the hormone that triggers stress.

Here are some of The Soothe’s favourite fitness gyms in Singapore that incorporate outdoor exercises and training in their workout programmes.
